Welcome to Hot Sixty 4th in which I show off my DLM 1/64 and smaller and sometimes larger collections. On my 206th post are the Brock Racing Enterprises Datsun/Nissan by Greenlight.

When Hot Wheels came up with the BRE livery for their peg warmer Datsun 510, it turned Mattel’s 510 into an iconic casting and unfortunately becoming a hard to find item and pretty pricey on the secondary market. Thanks to Greenlight I was able to acquire all the 1/64 BRE livery Datsun.

The Datsun 510 BRE #46 is from the Tokyo Torque series 2 while the Datsun 510 BRE #85 is from the series 3. The Peter Brock’s street BRE Datsun 240Z is a MIJO hobby exclusive. In fact these casting are closer to 1/64 than Hot Wheels.

All of them hardly had any major QC issues but would like to point out that the Datsun 240Z is a bit of a disappointment due to the gap on the front side. The choice on the wheels could have been better as well.

Although the casting seems close to the actual car (see below) there are still some differences specially the tampo of the sponsors.
