On my 116th post is the ‘64 Austin Mini Cooper S by Matchbox under their Heritage Classics series.
The model came into being around 2009 and this is their first color.
What’s nice about this release was Matchbox was doing it correctly by adding detailed headlights and even putting an emblem in front. The chrome bumper and grill really fits this car well and was molded with the base.
Even without tampo on the rear, I still consider this as a nicely made Matchbox model.
To me the only thing that detracts this nice model was the slightly oversize wheels which I mentioned on my previous post comparing this to the 1/24 Welly release. Other than that I have no other complains.
As with every car, it needs its normal maintenance.
