Welcome to another Hot Sixty 4th post where we feature DLM cars in the 1/64 and smaller. Just like the song from “The Sound of Music”, I was scouting for these 2 of my favorite Air Cooled from the Car Culture series and it was no where to be found in any of our Target over here.

But on a trip to Burbank last Friday I decided to drop by a Walmart store to see if they have any goodies before heading to Target to check on the Air Cooled series as I read from Lamley that Target will be the first to get these. I was then surprised that this Walmart actually have the complete set and decided to pick up these 2 without having to go to Target.

When the moon hits your eyes like a big pizza pie, that’s amore.

Called ‘60's Fiat 500D Modificado’ by Hot Wheels, this cutie was the reason I went to look for this series. This is my first 1/64 60's Fiat and although I like my cars stock, this modification was done just right with no crazy tampos on the side. Hot Wheels was smart to use the model number as the race car number as well. Only complain is not putting any front and back tampos.

Mein favorit Porsche

I’m not much a collector of Porsche but the ‘Porsche 356A Outlaw’ is the exception. When Hot Wheels first released this in matte black I was immediately attracted to it. Now with a new set of wheels with rubber tires (without having to do a customized wheel swap) and in Dark Blue this combination is a winner for me. Again the use of the model number was a smart move. As usual my complain was the lack of front and back tampos.

Although I wished they made it as moving part, I still like the way Hot Wheels molded the Fiat with open trunk to reveal the engine.

And off they go. Ciao and Auf Wiedersehen.
