Hot Sixty 4th: Truckin' Thursday with Johnny

For my 155th post is the introduction of a new tool by good ole Johnny.

The new tool being the ‘79 International Scout II, Johnny Lightning decided to use chrome for the initial release of this model under their Truckin’ America R1 theme back in 2008.

The International Harvester Scout was originally created as a competitor to the Jeep. This first American civilian off-road was built in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It offered options like SSII with a soft top , soft doors and a roll bar. If this was still in production it would now be called SUV.

With opening hood, I enjoyed owning this casting and was the only color I bought when it was release under RC2.

Now under new management, it was re-release and I bought one under their ‘Gone Fishing’ theme and as a single.
