Happy Turkey Day everyone. Here it is, the one you’ve all been waiting for... aka the runner up!

I had a feeling I was going to get a lot of backlash for picking the 2002 as the best car in the Forza series, but most of you seemed to agree with me. So what is it about the JDM darling that couldn’t bring it home?

It should have. It’s a JDM casting after all. Tampos all around are perfect. The glossy blue paint looks like glass. The ghost Forza graphics are the best of the series, but there’s something about it I just couldn’t get over.

It’s the wheels. The design is incredible; the execution is sub-par. I really wish they weren’t just a plain plastic finish. The color reeks of plastic too. It’s not gloss or metallic, it’s just... plastic.

Strike two: that exhaust pipe. A JDM tuner staple is a big old cannon out the back. This cars got a nub of left over solder. There’s just no sense of realism back there.

Morale of this story is, it’s great to see the Silvia S15 back again. It was the one mainline casting I couldn’t track down back when I was hitting the flea markets hard. I was shocked to find one on the pegs, let alone the whole set. This one is going to be tough to find, JDM Hype or not.
