The McLaren M6A was a powerhouse on the track in the mid 1960's.

With drivers like Mark Donohue, Denny Hulme, and Bruce McLaren himself. The cars all but dominated the American sports car scene.

The Hot Wheels M6A was available in the famous McLaren orange enamel, but only on US made cars. To date no M6A’s have been found in Spectraflame pink. And only one Hong Kong example has been found in dark green enamel.

Like the Ford J-Car casting, later versions of the M6A featured a stop block added to the opening rear hatch to help eliminate damage to the hinge.

As a fan of the Can-Am series, I hope to someday find a M6A casting in orange enamel.
