Big things with little cars

Today, I found out to my great delight that the HW Caddies have touched European soil. This is one of the new models I've been really looking forward to. I love it!

So of course I had to set it free immediately to meet the older brother a.k.a a Siku Caddy from the '80s.

And the Siku model definitely is the older brother here. Not only is it a little bigger, it's also far more work-oriented than the HW one.

Where the HW car has the means to shout at the the world, the Siku car has a tow hitch and also comes with this cover. I like the "Volkswagen" lettering on the back of this, other wise pretty plain, workhorse.

As much as I like the California sunnyboy attitude of the HW car with the bolt on fender flares, the oil-/intercooler??, and especially the sunroof, the no-nonsense working man's companion flair has it's appeal too.

I'll shut up now and let you decide which one you like best.
