Just some quick pics and a walk down memory lane for me. I won a lot of diecast cars on the bay and it included this sweet mercedes. I bought the lot fully intending to flip this one car back on the bay and make my purchase free/profit.

I had a serious love/hate relationship with these cars when I was a kid. I had an Ideal Motorific track and probably 4 chassis and 8 different car bodies. Basically, you put two AA batteries in the car and turn it on. It will usually have a slot car like peg on the bottom of the chassis to guide it along the track. Sounds fun right? Well... these cars were crazy slow. No where even close to the fast excitement of electric powered slot cars from the same era. But, these were OH SO SWEET to look at. The fine details and proportions! The tires and hubcaps. Oh my. I loved playing with these because they looked awesome. That was about it. The excitement factor of actually watching them on the track was pretty minimal.

I figured I would snap some shots of this cool car before it hits the mail again and goes to a new home. :)
