Sorry I’ve been MIA lately. Going through some life growing pains and struggles at the moment. In that same train of thought I’m preparing to move into what will most likely be a much much smaller space then I’m currently in and inevitably this means downsizing in many ways. Unfortunately, this also means I won’t have the time to participate in LaLD car week as well.

The first thing I’m looking at is getting rid of all my packaging. I believe there was a discussion about this awhile back, but I have saved all my card backs and boxes from all my cars. This means I have shoe boxes full of card backs and a closet size wall of 1:18 boxes. Do I just toss them all or keep some of the more important ones that go to my more valuable models (which are just AutoArts)?

Secondly, when it comes to my physical collection it’s hard to clean out, or purge as is the popular phrase being kicked around these days. Mainly because all my Jammer cases are neatly stacked within a bookcase and my 1:18s are well organized in my display cabinet. I do have two tubs of loose cars as well as a large box of carded duplicates meant for customs and wheel swaps that I won’t be doing anytime soon so those probably need to go.

Lastly, I do have some automotive books and collectibles that I might be letting go, not only to clear some space but also to fund my on going Volvo Amazon project. Namely, off the top of my head I’ve been looking at getting rid of my complete 4 volume edition of Speedhunter’s car culture photography books, out of print now and each numbered.

So that’s what’s up with me lately. Look for some sale threads in the days and weeks to come. I will be back!
