Thought that I should show off some recent Premium detailed diecast purchases, If you follow my Instagram (@6a13tt99) you probably have seen these two vehicles already.
The first Vehicle I will be showing is the Johnny Lightning 1979 International Scout II from CLASSIC GOLD 2017 release 1A.
It’s a really nice representation of the real vehicle, and unlike a lot of Johnny Lightning toolings it doesn’t seem to suffer too much from stance or proportion issues. shows you what a little Round 2 treatment can do to an older tooling from 2008. Definitely would recommend this tooling to a fellow collector especially if he or she is into off road vehicles.
The second vehicle is the Racing Champions Mint 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 from 2016 release 2 version D.
For a tooling that was released around 1999 (dam it’s as old as me) this tooling is really really nice.
Here’s how well both models compare (size wise) to some Auto World toolings and a Biante VC Commodore.
So far I would say both toolings are really close to being scale accurate.
I would definitely be wanting more variations of both toolings. I can see why Auto World hasn’t done a International scout yet as the Johnny Lightning is so well done especially with those wheels.
