Labor Day weekend is usually the last hurrah around here for lots of yard sales before everyone’s mind shifts to autumn and just packing crap up into storage. Saturday yielded a couple of good finds and then one sale today was pretty decent!

I also wanted to catch up on a couple of HWEPs this past month. I got some awesome cars from SharpSpeed and Did I really just sign up for this? Excellent exchanges and awesome additions to my collection :) More on that after the yard sale pics.

This brown Datsun was definitely my favorite find of the weekend. The rear axle was messed up, but I managed to get it seated properly and the car rolls like new again. No name, but I am guessing it’s an early Zee toys. Not sure what kind of Datsun it is. But, it’s very bland and unexciting... my kind of car for AP’s garage.

I probably already have this... but who can pass up a nice condition Packin’ Pacer. Much like diecast Isuzus... I can’t leave any AMC cars behind!

This Majorette Land Cruiser is pretty dirty. needs a good cleaning.

Dodge Daytona. Rad Car... terrible rear seats. I sat in the back of one 20 years ago and my neck still hurts.

Badass buggy. Mattel Quiz... can you name the movie that this car was originally designed for before Mattel gave it 1000 recolors and pretended it was their own design?

I normally dont pick up anything with crazy wheels... But, this Escort rally is AMAZING! The matte finish blue looks incredible. I am torn between customizing it and leaving it alone. Hard choices.

Glittery Diablo? What was Mattel smoking in the 90's?

I am really excited about this one. Needs a little love on the wheels, but otherwise this is a pretty awesome example of the Turbo Daytona. <3

Most of the Panoz cars I have found were playworn to death. This one is super minty and will hold the crown as the best Panoz in my collection now.

Half track and Volvo truck will be future Gaslands Customs.

Hell... It this is the 3rd or 4th one of these I have picked up. I need to stop.

Super minty buggy that normally would have bent axles. I’ve never seen one of these that hasn’t been played with to death.

The best color for this jag and the 2nd best use of these wheels.

Wheel swap and recolor on the menu for this land rover discovery.

This is the #1 best use of these wheels ever. <3

Beat up Corgi London cab.

Sharpspeed send me some fine fine automobiles for sending him a care package containing some pelican fearing Bugattis. What I got in return is pure awesome. :) I really love the recolors/dyes and someday I will have to try that trick. I am still looking for some good wheel donors on my collection to finish the customs. I can’t wait! thank you so much Sharpspeed.

I also did a HWEP with Did I really just sign up for this? and got more awesome cars in a box. Man I love this community. The mbx Wagon is fantastic and I have some amazing custom plans for the Studebaker glitter wagon. The Scion Xb is rather unexpected and really appreciated. Our family car is an Xb and I feel its one of the best cars ever made. Thank you very much for this awesome swap.

Today was the first slow day I have had in a while. So, I got caught up on some photos. Will schedule them through the next week or so and I will also disclose my 1:64 acquisition which has been a long time coming!

Hope everyone had a great/relaxing Labor day weekend.
