This is one of those paradox models in the debate between Diecast and resin. It’s a car that should have been Diecast with opening parts. It’s a car that would have never been made if it weren’t for the simplicity of resin model manufacturing.
I say it should have opening parts because this car has no doors. The entire canopy opens like a fighter jet cockpit, definitely one of the car’s defining features. The rear engine hatch also opened like a clamshell backwards. Alas, this resin model from Apex Replicas is sealed.
The little known manufacturer from Down Under set an MSRP of a staggering $250, but Replicarz get ahold of a handful of these models and marked them down to $99. That is more in line with this model’s quality. The paint is more bronze that the orange I think it should be, but I edited the warmth to get the color I wanted. I’ve also got a weird, oily rainbow mark on the inside of the windshield.
