1:64 Johnny Lightning - 1961 Jaguar E-Type - Austin Powers Shaguar

This was easily my most difficult Car Week decade, which is ironic because it is my favorite decade of cars ever. Can we say 1964 Continental or Impala, gimme one!

Here we have the amazing E-Type from the hilarious Austin Powers movie. Not only was that a great choice for the movie, but as we all know, it is also one of the prettiest cars ever (even better in coupe form).

Unlike some of you, I do not free all my cars - as much as I’d like to. How else am I going to afford my unborn child’s college? ;) Of course I’d love to touch this car as it even appears to have an opening hood, but restraint makes a good man, or something.

In 2011, I was lucky enough to meet, and have a ten minute conversation with Verne Troyer (Mini-Me) while photographing an event at the trump national golf club - of all places.

We chatted about his love for Michigan Football and interest in golf, amongst other things. He was genuine and kind and unassuming. He passed away in 2018. May you rest in peace my friend.

You can see one of my photos of him from that event at the bottom of this post.
