Max Orido (AKA Manabu Orido) of Super GT, D1GP, and Best Motoring fame is the talent who more often than not is behind the wheel of a third-gen Toyota Supra of some form. He is synonymous with the car, and it is no wonder his personal car would be none other than the JZA80 Supra.
True to tuner culture, this Ridox Supra has been through refinement through the years under Max’s ownership. While this isn’t its final form, all the development that went into this car establishes Max’s passion for this chassis. My ‘90s entry you see here is a 1:43 model from Ignition Model - immortalising his car in scale form. A 1:18 version from Ignition Model with an accompanying 1:18 human statue of Max is also available.
The carbon parts and black wheels contrast nicely against the sea of intense red, the overall package presents a street-registered car with serious tarmac rippin’ performance. This Supra isn’t going make the lives of R34 Skyline GT-Rs easy - a rivalry that was one of the hallmarks of ‘90s car culture and still is today.
