Day 05! The Car Week is moving fast! The choice with black cars was again tough, but there was one clear winner from the lot.

Yes, yet another Skyline, but quite older than the previous showcase; One of the few Kyoshos I possess, and arguably my favorite of the lot.

Kyosho Nissan Skyline GT-R KPGC10, alias Hakosuka. 1:64.

Needless to bring back the history of the Hako to the LaLD community. It is one of the most replicated, and one of the most sought after models in the vintage Japanese car culture, and with reason. The Kyosho captures the beauty of the stock Hako so charmingly well. This is Kyosho at its best.

Well, almost at its best. The model is an absolute beauty for a 1:64 that did not cost me an arm and a leg, full of super accurate details and really faithful to the original car. However, it is not perfect as the bubbles appearing beneath the paint shows up (cue the photo above), despite being stowed inside its original casing for virtually all the time except for two shoots.

Class.

That does little to dampen the aura of this little buddy though. It remains one of the most beloved treasures in my little collection, next to the TLV Bluebird, Herpa Actross and the JL Land Cruiser, part because of my love for the real Boxy Skyline, and part because of its elegance.
