Today we have the T-70 X-wing starfighter that was flown by Resistance hero Poe Dameron in the Battle of Starkiller Base and delivered the killing blow to the First Order’s superweapon.

Produced by the Incom-FreiTek Coporation (previously just Incom Corporation), the T-70 is an update of the vintage T-65B X-wing that was used extensively by the Rebellion during the Galactic Civil War. Incom’s X-wing fighters certainly have a reputation for destroying superweapons.

Much like it’s predecessor, the T-70 is powered by four ion engines, has two pairs of wing-like strike foils, and is equipped with four laser canons. However the T-70 has better armor, maneuverability and firepower.

This 1/164-scale version (1:1 is estimated to be about 41 feet in length) is about as accurate as you can get. It’s styled after Dameron’s Black One and is painted accurately. In fact, the casting details and paint look quite a bit better than the T-65B I have, which has an awfully plain-looking nose.
