Since its ‘MURICA Monday and nothing says ‘Murican pride as much as a Shelby GT500 that’s what I’ve decided to enter.
This is a Shelby Collectibles 1/18th scale 1967 Shelby GT500. Quality and detail is pretty decent, I’d give it a 7/10. Just a slight chip in the rear quarter panel or I’d give the paint a 9/10. As it sits it’s a solid 8/10.
Good underhood details such as plug wires and battery cables, could be a little more detailed but I like its cleanliness. 9/10.
Nice wheel/tire details with drilled rotors peeking out from behind. Separate knock offs are a nice touch I believe. 7/10.
Like under the hood, the interior could stand to be a touch more detailed, but it’s all there including readable gauges and Carroll Shelbys autograph on the dash. 8/10.
Pop the trunk and you get a nice little surprise. A bottle of go juice just waiting to be unleashed. Not much else here. 6/10.
The only panel gap in the whole piece that bugs me is the hood to driver gender gap. Other than that it’s pretty solid and tight all over. Even the rear spoiler gaps are pretty close to spot on.
Hope y'all enjoyed this piece, I'll be back with something else on Whatever Wednesday!
