The 90's was an epic time for the automotive industry. After going through two decades of rocky progress with the oil crisis in the 70's follow by lackluster designs of the 80's. The 90's was a huge comeback such as the JDM “Bubble Era” boom that inspired a generation to this day. But still overshadowed by this.

The McLaren F1, the car that made the automotive world stood still. Went on to set a new record for fastest production car and clung to the title for 7 years and still hold the record for the fastest naturally aspirated production car to this day. If that wasn’t impressive enough, modify it to race spec and entering it into the 24 Hours of Le Mans and winning first, third, fourth, fifth, and 13th place on its debut. In honor of the five McLaren F1s that completed the equivalent of an automotive marathon. 5 special F1s were built with the same race spec engine running free of any mandated air restriction that we all know as the F1 LM.
