Big things with little cars

I had no entries for four or six cylinders, but had PLENTY of eight cylinder ones to choose from. So I’ve gone with this Chaparral 2C as driven to victory in the 1965 LA Times Grand Prix by Hap Sharp.

This particular model is a 1/18 scale from Exoto. At this time in its development, the Chaparral 2C was sporting the driver adjustable rear wing. The wing was operated by a pedal that the driver used his left foot to operate, which was made possible by Chaparral’s use of a clutchless semi-automatic transmission.


Power was provided by a Chevrolet V8 engine as detailed in the several pics below. Enjoy!
