Before we begin, let’s get that ugly, boxer, 4-cylinder shot out of the way first. OK, done!
This is the Pignose STi of course, the third of three different versions of the 2nd generation Subaru Impreza. Bugeye, Blobeye, and this. Most folks think the nose is ugly, but ugly is subjective as I’m quite fond of it myself. And don’t let popular opinion fool you; forget WRB - white on gold is the best color combo for any STi.
The model here is produced by.....wait for it.....AUTOart! Oh, what a surprise. Since I apparently am not allowed to show any resin this week, I’m left without much of a choice when it comes to brands that consistently make great models with fully opening features.
The STi is replete with said opening features (including all four doors), and it’s one in a long list of older AA JDM models that have become rare, expensive, and highly sought-after in recent years. Think $300+. It’s also one of the best acts of thievery I’ve pulled off yet - for $100, I stole it from a guy who probably had no idea that there are weirdos out there willing to pay extravagant amounts for fake cars. Same dude also gifted me a
RSX Integra and a 2.5 RS for the same price, but those have nothing to do with the car shown here. I just like bragging about it and rubbing it in people’s faces.
