Now things are starting to heat up. Out comes all the supercars, exotics, and stuff that us regular dudes can’t afford the life-sized versions of. We compensate for that through our hobby.
Today’s supercar of choice is the first-gen Lamborghini Gallardo, by AUTOart. I never was and never will be a fan of the Gallardo or any of the smaller bulls. Lambos are intended to be extreme, and these just aren’t extreme enough for my tastes. I kind of collect them only for the sake of filling gaps in my collection. Plus, supercars are just plain fun to have around. They represent childhood dreams and are most likely the reason why we’ve grown into such big car junkies today.
AUTOart has quite the catalog of Gallardo models and variants under its belt, but none more valuable or sought-after than the basic one shown here. Whereas you can find all the other ones for less than $100, these go past the $200 range and are far from an easy capture. By chance, I was mindlessly browsing my eBay app at the right moment and was able to grab this bull by the horns for just $80. Moments later, the same seller listed an orange one for $120; as you can guess, that was gone quick too.
Without going through the same, repetitive list of AUTOart pros
and cons, I leave you guys with a few more angles of this baby Lambo.
