When introduced to the North American market back in 1989, Lexus had 2 models on offer; the S-class hunting LS and the entry level ES. Although the ES offered interior space equal to that of the German mid-sizers, it wasn’t a true competitor to those models mainly due to its FWD Camry platform roots. The car Lexus needed was introduced in Japan in 1991 as the Toyota Aristo, and we got it in 1993 as the Lexus GS. Since then we’ve had 3 additional generations of the GS, and the model we have today is the 3rd-gen that was introduced in 2005.
This particular model, finished in Matador Red Mica is produced by AUTOart, and is a dealer LE. There was also a silver hobby edition, and a blue GS450H hybrid.
