I’m surprised this casting hasn’t been featured yet on LaLD. After sending one off to Doctor Suarez a while ago, we were able to confirm a little something I suspected all along on Friday. I immediately went out to buy one of these the next morning because I just have to have one for myself. Because it’s amazing.

The wheels are really nice, the angles and proportions are good, all the details you expect to see on a Hako are there and aren’t crooked, and there’s even side mirrors with silver detail added as mirrors!

This is only thing I don’t like about it. The front and especially back end of the windows look like they have gigantic bullet holes in them. And I guess the hood gap is a little wide like the one on the blue R34 I was able to open up but not on the R34 police car.

Oh wait, what this?!

Doctor Suarez and I just found out about this

So with the blister of a Hot Wheel earmarked for the trash, we carefully attempted to see if the hood actually opens. And surely enough, we found this under the hood:

Oh my goodness. The engine detail. Is. Amazing!

Doesn’t quite go up to 90 degrees for easy exposure but oh man, I’m happy enough already with what I’m getting.

And to think I was feeling bad after missing out on the RLC sELECTIONS Z with the opening hood and engine detail. I am satisfied with this. It’s simply amazing.

Maybe I’ll get around to opening up the silver one with the black hood... but I’ve got a backlog of plenty other diecasts I wanna get to.
