Now with LaLD Car Week over, I can go back to posting my usual features. I’ve got a ton of diecast to show, from finds to HWEPs to evilBay HAWLs, most of which haven’t even been photographed yet. I might even have enough to last the next month or two. Due to the massive amount of content, you’ll probably be seeing a lot of posts by me in the next couple of weeks. I’ll be posting simultaneously here on LaLD as well as my blog. As usual, I’ll try to keep things different, whether it’s the content, the writing, or the photos, so that you actually have a reason to check out both.
But anyways, here’s the trio of GT-R’s that I sneaked last week. They’re already up on my blog and you may have already seen it on my Instagram, but they’re too good not to show here on LaLD. I think the NISMO is the best of them all. I mean, just take a look at this:
Is that not amazing or what? Rotors, gold calipers, and oh, that NISMO badge on the wheels. You get what you pay for. This is what you get for a $25+ model.
Proportionally, these are perfect, and that’s what really makes them the best 1/64 GT-R’s out there. The Greenlight version has issues with ride height (and *ahem* quality), the HW one is atrocious, and the regular Tomica one is close, but nowhere as detailed. There’s also the Realtoy, which is pretty darn good for a $1-2 model and an Oversteer model which I have yet to see in person (based on pictures, the wheels are too big). Of course, it’s apples to oranges, as none of those come close to the price tag of the TLV’s. However, like I said, these are worth it.
