My brother was in Vietnam and before coming back, he stopped at the Tomica store 20 minutes before it closed on his last day there. Imagine how hard it was for me to scramble and coordinate with him over the phone which cars to get. He isn’t a collector so it made it much harder. These were the cars he was able to get me before time ran out. He got back today so here are pictures of my spoils. There is also a Nissan Cube but I forgot to take it home. These were roughly $4 US dollars a piece......a bargain compared to eBay.

Here is a Lotus compared to its Hot Wheels counterpart. Not the same model but I’m just showing size comparison.

Initial D anyone? These are my favorite. Unfortunately the store only had these two Initial D cars. Got one with a black hood and one without. They are almost the same size as the Hot Wheels...just a little skinnier.

What’s up with all these scale inconsistencies?

Even within the Tomica line, the scales were inconsistent. Scales ranged from 1:67 through 1:57.

Subaru. The silver Tomica Impreza WRX STI 4 door seems so malnourished compared to the others.

I wish my brother had gone to the store earlier cause I would have told him to buy half the store. So many models I wanted but couldn’t get because time ran out in addition to the difficulties of conveying through phone back and forth what I wanted.
