So my life has been a bit hectic as of late and I haven’t been on here for some time. First I took a nice backpacking trip here in Colorado that’s been on my list that was pretty epic. (4 Pass Loop around the Maroon Bells for anyone who’s interested).
I mean come on...
Only downside is I forgot to bring any diecast to photograph with the majesticness.
But the bigger news is I have officially started a new job that I’m hoping will be my real career. It’s been a painful few years not knowing if I’d end up being a real engineer (I was engineer in title alone) and it’s finally happened - and at a place that I can definitely stay for a long time.
It just so happened that during all of the transition a wonderful package arrived from our local Model Citizen Diecast. I’m a big fan of the Shelby Cobra and of its spiritual successor, the Dodge Viper. Well I haven’t found any quality versions of the road-cars and saw that GT Spirit had just released one that looked great.
This was the first car to really get me interested in cars in the first place and it had long been somewhere on my list. This was the first car (in blue with white stripes no less) that gave me as James May would say, that fizz inside of you.
So without further ado, the Dodge Viper GTS in blue with white stripes in 1:18 scale by GT Spirit. It may be a resin model that really doesn’t want to roll, but man the details are so nice...
So yeah, the last month has been a bit amazing for me. Also I just won a diecast model off IG... pictures of that will come once I get the details.
It’s a crazy world! Glad to see a lot of newer faces here.
Thanks to Patrick of Model Citizen Diecast for hunting this one out as he usually doesn’t carry GT Spirit.
