Mail Hawl! HWEP Edition

I’m sad that I missed Micro Monday (Monday was shall we say ... not such a great day for me), but was happy yesterday to see so many others posted for it.

I’ve been sitting on a couple of these HWEPs for a week or so. I decided to wait until this week, because Bread Box week went nuts around here :)

The first one is less of an HWEP and more of a RAOK from ZTP, master of the dioramas. I send him a few 1:24 diecasts sometime last year (I think it was last year?) that had been languishing in my basement, and enjoyed watching him customize them. I’ve been lamenting at every mention of Round 2 that I have not found a single new Auto World in calendar year 2016, which remains true now that we’re almost a week into October. ZTP in turn found and sent me this awesome pink ‘70 Challenger T/A.

I’ve been so frustrated with their lack of distribution, that I’ve really been about ready to give up on Auto World completely. I’ve seen nothing but the same pink Darts and red Firebirds on the pegs this entire year. Every store around here that carries them, and there are several, has one or two sad lonely peg warmers sitting there endlessly. Getting this one in my hands, it really got me excited again to try and find some more. They’re just SOOOOO good! Hopefully I don’t get completely shut out for the entirety of 2016.

The next batch of goodies is from Pixel. That gold Datsun is just fabulous, the sweet blue Can-AM style car was an extra, and I have two pieces of French Friday foder to share, the LeCar I was expecting, and the 2CV was a lovely surprise. The badly hacked up Lambo on the right, I’m not sure what I’m going to do with it yet, but it needs some lovin’. I discovered that these Saubers are the perfect size for my big Siku car carier I got from Jobjoris a while back, so I’m assembling a whole team of them :)

Finally this batch came from CyborgAbeLincoln. I struck out on CSL’s locally, the stock cars will likely all end up being wheel donors, with the possible exception of the Johnny Benson Pennzoil Pontiac. The Road Champs Mercedes 500SEC is a bit beat up, but I was still happy to get it.
