Man do I need to get on it. First up is a hawl from VDubyaJohn for which I will be sending out a Ron Jon VW Samba Bush. It’s in my car, John. I just need a chance to get to the post office. So he pulled a Fatbaxx Mustang for me and I asked for the Classics VW and blue 33 Ford from Home Improvement. For those who don’t know, Tim Allen is a huge car guy and he actually restored the Ford during the duration of the show! It’s a beautiful car and HW did a decent job of recreating it.
So all of the extra Mustangs John sent were RAOKs! Much appreciated!
Second, is a RAOK from The Bell King! He was part of a three-way hwep along with Plasticprints and he said he wanted to thank me by sending me these. And holy crap!
The Skyline is awesome since every one of them in my area have been scalped already. But let’s talk about the Mustang! First off, it’s a 1969. Second, it’s black. Third, it’s a Mach 1! When it comes to having any Mustang if money was no object, this would probably be the first car I’d buy.
The packaging is average, however, they’ve put a mirror finish underneath to show of the undercarriage! Full disclosure, I cracked the acrylic case trying to get it open but when I close this up, I’ll just put the crack on the back side. This cast is outstanding!
It’s hard to believe this is a 1/64 car.
This car is ridiculously detailed. And gorgeous! How detailed?
Look at that engine bay! Shaker hood scoop. Distributor cap and wires. Air cleaner intake. Pulley and serpentine belt. In a 1/64!
Yeah, the trunk opens too! What a great cast! Those opening parts do suffer from wanting to stay open.
Had to get some siblings together including my custom 69 T/A and the AW 67.
I also pulled in a JL 71 Mach 1 as I wanted to show the progression in size. After the 71-73, Ford brought out the much smaller Mustang II. I remember growing up thinking that this Mustang was huge! And at the time it was. It’s huge compared to the other two. These cars are all so beautiful, though. And the 69 from The Bell King is too awesome!
Thanks to both VDubyaJohn and The Bell King for all of these awesome cars and RAOKs!
And thank you for looking.
