Matchthebox suggested to try fitting an HO scale car. I think we finally have something that actually looks normal. Now back to our scheduled programming and more on the Porsche itself.
I remember this being the most attractive Porsche when I last looked at it. For whatever reason, it kinda looks boring now, particularly when you have the 918 to compare it with. That doesn’t mean it’s no longer enjoyable
I bought this at least twelve years ago. I’m pretty sure I got it at Walmart for under $4 or something. They’re still affordable on eBay. It gathered dust for many years on top of the piano until I cleaned things up and put this deep in my closet, along with the rest of my diecast cars while I took a few years away from the hobby. I’m pretty sure I once knocked it off the piano, hence the crack on the acrylic case.
Really easy to remove from the display base. All you have to do is flip it over and turn the notch. I just didn’t like the gangsta-style manufacturer’s logo tattooed on the nameplate.
Here’s a Hot Wheels for comparison.
The details are pretty good. I wonder what happened to this company? Wish they were still around. I originally wanted to make you guys guess the scale on this but hey, we now have #makeitfit Monday.
