For the people not familiar or into the die cast hobby, they would associate the Matchbox brand as a small size 1/64 scale which is usually within the 2 to 3 inch measurement. For the people that grew up in the 50's thru the 80’s who played with Matchbox toys, they would remember that Matchbox also did the large size range called Major Pack or Kingsize. One of my favorite vintage Major pack, the Racing Car Transporter M-6 was made at the time racing cars were transported with this type of vehicle. This casting also became part of the Kingsize range once the Major pack was discontinued. According to British Vintage Diecast website this appears to be a made up design. If Mattel design their generics as good as this for the Matchbox, I’m all for it.
