So here is my first #MoparMonday post on LaLD, and as per Wurfenstein standard, it's definitely going to be a custom one! I came across the Greenlight 1:64 Dodge Dart 'Black Bandit' the very same day that I found my Chrysler 200S that I customized in another post. Both cars happened to be one's that I've actually had in the past 2 years, so I took no hesitation in grabbing an extra of each to customize like my own.

I found that the GL castings take a bit more patience in making, as there are seperate plastic headlights/tailights and windows that have be removed. I was luckier with these tiny pieces on the Dart then I was with the 200 as I managed to pop them out without breaking the tabs or lights themselves. The wheels that came with the car, though on rubber tires, looked way too small and kind of goofy, so I ended up rigging a set of MB 5 spokes from my parts bin. I think they look much better!

I like the fact that even though I may not own this car anymore, I'll always have a tiny little scale version of it! Most of you have probably noticed that the actual car has a matte black wrap on the hood, and I actually wanted to do the same to the custom, but I just haven't quite got to it yet. I'm a little bit afraid of ruining it if I do. Either way I'm happy otherwise with how it turned out :)

Not quite sure what else to say! My Dart was a great little car, and I still regret getting rid of it sometimes (I traded it in on a similarly optioned Header Orange one). The color 'Citrus Peel' green was by far the best part of it, but it was also special because it was an early option order of the Rallye package with 1.4L Turbo MultiAir with 6-speed manual. That's a hard find and the 18" GT wheels came from the factory as well and weren't swapped over. Here is the photodump: Enjoy!
