For maximum obscurity, today we have here this Oushan COS1° by Changan Automobile.

Scale was indicated as 1/43, and comes in a nice box:

I happened to be in Shanghai last month so I dropped by the Shanghai Auto Show. Definitely an eye-opener that day. I clocked around 30km of walking without much repeats!

Most of the displaying vendors had some sort of giveaway, which I felt was of a higher standard that those from the North American shows.

Essentially, the “cheaper” the brand (i.e. typically domestic), the better the giveaway. This is a tactic by the domestic brands to steal some foot traffic from the aspirational imports. To get these giveaways, you had to line-up, register and divulge personal contacts, play interactive games, listen to technical explanations, line-up... (the list goes on).

From some angles, this looks like a stretched Ford Escape. That’s of no surprise, since Changan also has the joint venture with Ford in China.

For something that was “free,” I’m not going to complain much. While it is rough on some edges, it is quite detailed, particularly the tampos and the lighting structures.
