Last week, I did something at one time I thought I would never do. I purchased a resin, sealed 1/18 scale model. Somehow, I missed this model when it came out a couple of years ago and only recently discovered its existence. In spite of it being sealed, I decided that the subject matter overwhelmed me, and I had to have it. The 1991 Mazda RX-7 GTO with its bad-ass 4 rotor engine. Mazda won the 1991 GTO Manufacturer’s Championship with this car winning three races and the sister #63 winning another two.

The car is painted in its 2015 appearance as campaigned by Mazda in various vintage gatherings and rotary events such as Sevenstock. Conveniently, I have a banner of this exact car from a Sevenstock appearance a couple years ago. It hides the inside AC unit which is in a ceiling niche in the garage.
