Here are a couple of my weekend finds, a 1967 Pontiac Firebird 400, nice color, the tampos are a little beat up, but I’m digging the weels (too bad the chrome on the wheels for these new Hot Wheels rubs off rather quickly). I am planning to take off the paint on the nose to give it that traditional chromed front that Firebirds of that vintage had, plus maybe the same to make the headlights stand out.
I also found a fantasy car transporter truck called “The Embosser.” The tampos on one side have rubbed off, more than likely when the truck traveled as it was being shipped to its final selling destination. It’s an interesting casting, most of the body pieces are plastic, but I like the square, brawny look of this beast.
The pictures that show slightly different colors were done with a filter in my camera that captures only the red in objects (in case you were wondering)
