Either matte black is difficult to take good photos of in 1/64 or matte black is very difficult to take photos of in general.
I only touched up the first three photos but oh boy, matte black is difficult to work with. You can’t shoot photos of it in the dark, fingerprint oils stand out, bad glue spots stand out, and you just can’t hide the specs of dust on this thing.
There are two versions of this: one in Honda presentation spec and one in Acura LA Auto Show spec. The differences are subtle but I ended up cracking open the Honda version for photos because of the nice sliver contrast with the rims and door handle, plus the red GT3 logo on the wing.
Couldn’t resist grabbing a silver marker to detail the exhaust pipes as well.
Not many shots of the front because matte black on matte black does not make the details pop with. At least the 1:1 looks better in carbon fiber.
Any suggestions on how to get better shots of matte black diecast or is it just hard in general?
I also have the NSX GT3 in a Macau GP livery... but its not as sweet as a Liberty Walk R35 or FK8 Type R or McLaren Senna. Now let’s see how the Pagani Huayra looks once it reaches my hands next week.
