As much as I love collecting 1/43 Minichamps, I’m highly aware of how expensive they are if you go for the newest and best. I recently got an amazing deal on a 1/43 991.2 GT2 RS Weissach Pack in Lava Orange with the optional magnesium wheels finished in gold. I couldn’t say no to almost half off what it costs at my local Porsche dealership.
Although I was originally looking for a 991.2 GT3 RS, I was thrilled to find this one for such a low price. After receiving it, I fell in love with it. I’ve had a 1/43 991.2 GT3 that was included with a GT3 owner’s box for a while, but this is a step above that. As nice as my Guards Red GT3 is, the Lava Orange GT2 RS sticks out like a sore thumb in my collection.
The detailing throughout the car is top notch. I noticed that it even has the RS center locking caps.
The center body colored stripe on the exposed carbon fiber hood denotes the Weissach Pack along with the gold magnesium wheels. It certainly looks faithful to the original
The rear 3/4 view is spectacular. I love how they nailed the overall shape of the car. It certainly looks imposing from every angle.
I did notice that it even has the Porsche name embossed on the carbon fiber spoiler. The detailing on the carbon fiber throughout is sensational. It actually looks like the real thing.
Here’s the GT2 RS with the aforementioned Guards Red 2017 991.2 GT3. It’s a few steps above in terms of presence.
It makes a Guards Red 718 Boxster S look humdrum and boring in comparison.
The unmistakable Beetle silhouette with a wing.
The GT2 RS script looks remarkably true to form. Even in 1/43, the GT2 RS is extremely well detailed.
I’m very happy with it and intend on keeping it for a long time. If I happen to come across another GT2 RS, but without the Weissach Pack, you bet I’ll be buying it.
I’d highly recommend it in any colorway to anyone who loves 911s.
