This is the BMW M4 GTS, by SophiArt (1/18).
So, what in the hell is SophiArt? It’s FrontiArt’s new entry-level brand. Yes, that FrontiArt. The same guys who make those $300-400 pieces now have a new line of models that cost a fraction of the price. Which leads me to the stunner: this M4 GTS can be had for just $90. Have at it.
The only competitor to this model is the one by Minichamps, which costs more or less the same. This is made of resin and feels super light, but comes with a display case (or showcase, as it’s called), a pretty solid, high-quality one at that. Regardless, I went with this because it doesn’t possess the awful “slammed” look or the poor panel gaps that the MC has. It does have a slight positive camber on the front wheels, but I’ll do my best not to show you the bad photos. Overall, the SophiArt model looks more crisp, at the expense of opening features, and definitely a brand that I will come back for once they expand their range of models.
