Thanks to an IHWEP with the shop teacher, I have more than doubled my Auto World collection today! I went from two models to five. Well, it’s a start. But the more I see of them, the more I want. Same old story, eh?

This body style of Chrysler / Dodge will be familiar to most people. Apart from North America, they were also made right here in Australia, in South America and in Spain - so that covers a fair chunk of the globe. Around here, we called it the “Pacer” and it looked like this:

But back to the Auto World model. As many of you will know, the company is run by the same guy that owned Johnny Lightning, so the similarities are obvious. Only this time, they are sticking to true 1/64 scale, and the quality has improved as well. Even the hood (or bonnet) now fits properly.

The subject matters are similar or identical to the old J/Ls - and I love the fact that they stick to factory colours. The level of detail is also very pleasing - I just hope that one day we can buy them here in the shops. We get Greenlight and M2, we used to get J/L - why not Auto World?

And one quick word on packaging - I am happy that AW are proving once and for all that it is still possible to offer a nice picture cardboard box for the collector. They do come in a blister - but the cardboard box is also included, so you can get the best of both worlds.

As I said before, now all I need is...more!
