I've been waiting quite a while to showcase this little beaut, Don Prudhomme's Army Snake 'Cuda from Hot Wheels' Drag Strip Demon series. Drag racing and Mopar fans would without a doubt have heard about "the Snake" before, and his iconic yellow 'Cuda funny car. Not long after watching the Snake and Mongoose film, one of my favorite eBay sellers had this listed; it didn't take long to make my mind to acquire it.

This my first piece from the series, there are a few funny cars in my pile of diecast cars but nothing quite like this. Its body wears an authentic livery with correct sponsor decals, lifting up to reveal its huge engine and caged driver's compartment. Good on Mattel for including a plastic prop to let the body stay up.

What really makes the car for me are the huge rubber rear slicks, they don't make it go faster on the orange tracks but the car looks outstanding. Just looks like it's going to billow white smoke from those fat meats.

Some of the funny cars in my diecast pile have regular wheels for their front tires, not on this drag stripe demon. Aside from having threads, this skinny front wheels are fitting for this quarter-mile beast.

Hot Wheels delivered big time with this series, and many of the Youtube diecast collectors sing praises whenever they catch one in their hauls. Muscle car and drag racing fans definitely should give this epic series a try! Every piece represents a heralded era of the sport, you won't be disappointed.
