Miura's are so pedestrian. That's why I ordered a Jota!
Actually, this is another case of "that's such a cool model, but why have I rarely heard about it? It looks like a Miura, but isn't exactly."
So I'm still learning about this fabulous car. Personally, I think it has some really cool design features in addition to the classic beauty of the Miura. Also I can get a decent Miura from Matchbox. So I decided to buy the Kyosho Jota. I love the color and the model is fantastic!

Notice those rivets all over?

Interestingly, this Jota is held together with rivets, not screws. I'm a little sad about that since I'd like to detail the interior a little bit. Also, the front left section of the base, including the driver's side skirt isn't completely tight against the body. If it were screwed together I think I could fix that. Perhaps one day I'll muster the courage to drill it apart, if it really bothers me enough.
Here it is getting loaded up with some of its younger brethren. The Jota is the most beautiful of them all, and the real head-turner in this group.
My Jota was actually a victim of the labor strike at the docks in California, I think. It arrived a week and a half past the latest projected delivery date. I was so happy when my wife called me yesterday to tell me it had arrived! I'd already gotten a refund from the seller, so I had to transfer the money back to him. I purchased it for $14, shipped.
As you can see this M2 Hauler will be put to good use. I love how the dark gray works so well showing off all kinds of cars!
