Big things with little cars
Big things with little cars

As you may know the 1st gen Acura is my favorite sports car. It may not be the fastest car, but its the greatest drivers car. (as far as I read, im sure its true :D)

I have here a 90 NSX and recently acquired 2017 NSX by Hot wheels both in a beautiful blue metallic. I’ll do a comparison of them side by side and rate their design in 1 to 10 with 10 being the highest rating.

Sleek and fast looking, love the continuous a-pillar that goes to the c-pillar. Styling is a bit too Audi R8 IMO.

7/10 rating.

The 90 NSX has a low sleak front with simple but aggressive styling. Not a fan of the larger rear wheels though.

Front: Acuras infamous beak has been shaved down to something that’s not atrocious. The fender vents look out of place and break up the clean lines. I do like the headlight detail.

Its hard to see but HW did a great job with the front grill, it’s very deep and has a grill pattern!

9/10!

The 1st gen NSX has a low areodynamic front end, chin spoiler, and that huge windshield. No signal light tampos though, which would of been hard to do anyway.

10/10

Rear:

Im glad Acura went with the iconic 3rd brake light that goes across the whole rear of the car. A wing would of been nice, but it would ruin it’s sleek appearance.

9/10

On this model theres a larger wing, but no 3rd brake light, but there is a nice detailed tail light assembly that goes across the whole rear of the car. Not to mention different colored exhaust tips! :)

10/10

Engine detail:

Im not sure what the 2017s chassis looks like, but that’s some huge underbody panels.

On the 90's model you can see the oil pan, transmission pan, suspension bits, and exhaust.
