I am relatively new to this subforum, having randomly discovered it. I am also a diecast obsessive, but my interests might be different from most here, as I prefer vintage material. I've done little custom or restoration work, I like things stock. I am in my 30s, most models I collect are older than I, or in a few cases, date from my childhood. I prefer Matchbox up to around 1965, I also like Majorette, Siku, Tekno, Tomica, and I won't say no to a nice cheap Dinky etc.
Anyway, my latest find. I answered an ad on craigslist, as it mentioned Matchbox. Owner is a recent retiree who is downsizing, wife is making him clear the clutter. Most of this is stuff I won't be keeping, but I wanted a few things, and he was adamant I had to take it all.
First off, Matchbox - these are mostly newer than what I collect. I was going to keep the Jag, but I might not, as the box type is newer and I already have an old variant:
Yesteryears, worth little nowadays, will be sold cheap:
Loose mostly 80s era Matchbox, all pretty mint:
Similar era Hot Wheels, Corgi, Majorette, Siku (I wanted the Siku and a few Majorette) and misc:
Tomica - I think I am keeping these:
Nice NZG Porsche 911/930:
80s "display case" material
And a couple other oddities:
I am going to sell much of this, and I will be clearing it out wholesale - I am not looking to make a huge profit or anything. If anyone is interested, I will make a posting when I get better pics.
