No Fooling: Here's the April MC/LaLD Model of the Month

Mamma mia!
Mamma mia!

We’re going back to the AUTOart well for April’s Model Citizen/LaLD Model of the Month: the 1980 Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV 2.0. Once again, we’re featuring a 1:18-scale model in traditional diecast metal…hey, if the formula worked before, why mess with it?

Though hardly the sporting icon that its predecessor (the Type 105) was, the Type 116 Alfetta coupes have developed a reputation as one of the finest-handling GT cars of the 1970s and 1980s. To my eyes, it’s also one of the prettiest, thanks to a graceful Giugiaro design that favored clean lines over some of the era’s more flamboyant tendencies.

The GTV is an older AUTOart casting, which they have made available to dealers at special pricing. Model Citizen is passing the savings along to customers: regularly priced at $130, we’re offering the Alfetta to the public for only $85…but for this month only, the LaLD community can grab this spicy meatball for only $72, and that price includes shipping within the lower 48 states. Just use promo code LALDAPRIL to claim your savings.
