Hello everyone!

Hotwheels did a good job in turning the 458 Italia into a die-cast car. The proportions are just right, there were always tampos of the headlights and Ferrari badging, and most of the time HW painted it with great colors. The first editions and the faster than ever versions even had the "pininfarina" script on the sides. There are, however, some areas for improvement. It had no rear detaling, the front valence is not blacked out, some cars have gimmicky graphics, and in some cases, HW slaps on atrocious [for this car] rims.

Luckily for us all we need is paint, a paintbrush and donor wheels to remedy the situation, and this post lists what little remedies I made. Enjoy!

The first is the latest I made, based off the 2012 HW All-Stars coupe, turned into a two-tone paint scheme.

Sharpies were used for the engine.

This one is a 2013 release, I think. Graphics removal, paint, and sharpie on the rims were all that was involved.

This white one is the similar to the first, also a 2012 HW All Stars release. This one still has the ill-fitting MC5 rims ("MC" for "Muscle Car". Who will put Cragar SS/Magnum 500 rims on a modern Ferrari!?)
