Well, as I’ve been slow to take pictures of my Mail Finds, here are a few from the past month.
First, I received a couple of 80s Matchbox bought from eBay UK, including my first successful purchase of a MBX-cast French car - I’ve bid on plenty, but this is my first win. This one is a 1986 ROW release - the only year for the dark blue colour. The Rolls-Royce is the only mainline release of that casting.
I also received this lot of Corgi Juniors and Matchbox Rover 3500s from eBay UK, ranging from near mint to poor. The most-worn MBX police car will probably get a restoration when I figure out how to customize, since even the wheel plastic is worn and pitted.
Finally, a few days ago I received these recent Matchbox from the U.S. These are the most recent castings that I’ve bought, since I tend to purchase older things, but I’m also collecting 2007-2009 Superfast and 2010-2011 Lesney Editions. The Ambulance was a purchase made on a whim, more or less, since I wanted to take advantage of combined shipping (shipping to Canada is expensive - $10 CAD + on average), but I lost out on the auctions for other 2009 Superfasts (woke up too late in the morning). I did want a Cadillac Ambulance, but it wasn’t that high on my priority list.
Thanks for viewing!
