I didn’t realize I had missed those spots on the bonnet until I took that picture. I’ll have to fix that. The Ferraris bonnet won’t stay open. I believe it’s because of those silly mainline wheels. Their axles are just floating in there til I can replace them.

I started my day watching a youtube video by baremetalHW where he restored a Silhouette just like mine. The axles had me at a stand still. He didn’t remove them, so neither did I.

I originally thought the metal was pitted, but it’s actually discolored. I gave it an extra coat of paint to try and hide the spots. It didn’t really work.

The McLaren had the same funny axles, but its base wasn’t painted originally.

These guys are done til the wheels get here. Back to the 962 and Subari tomorrow
