Review: Oversteer Mazda Roadster (MX-5 / Miata) - 1/64

This is my second Oversteer 1/64 model. While I was very pleased with the Toyota 86 I reviewed a couple of weeks ago, this model absolutely knocks it out of the ballpark in my opinion.

The quality and detail of this model are simply outstanding, and I couldn't help but grinning while taking the pictures. It's the sort of model that makes your day when you open it.

There just isn't a bad angle on this thing, nothing that made me wish they would have paid more attention or done it better.

And that's before you notice the interior - I don't remember seeing a better one in this scale.

Oversteer call this the car simply the "Roadster" - because that's what it is called on the JDM, Over here it is the MX-5, over there it is the Miata - but whatever you call it, it is the best selling sports car in the world.

The model costs a shade under JPY 1000 at my favourite online stores in Japan - postage of course varies according to what you order and where you live. But to me, it is worth it as it is easily as good as any Kyosho, yet cheaper. They also offer every model in a variety of factory colours, so every taste is catered for.

If you like Premium Japanese 1/64 models, this one is definitely a must have. And personally, whatever Oversteer decide to make next, I will out in an order.
