Today, we have here this little Mazda Familia...

If it looks familiar (pun intended), that’s because most of you will know it as the Mazda 323, or the ancestor to the modern day Axela/3.

This one gets the luxury of living in a box:

The most interesting part of this car is the tampo on the door. It reads “Sports!” as opposed to “Sport.” I wonder what was going on in the production room...


Nice little piece to have. It comes with a sunroof, which is somewhat typical of domestic Tomica of the era.


As far as I know, the mould was subsequently redone to make the next generation of Familia/323, so a reproduction in this mould is no longer possible.
