I’ve received several inquiries regarding this car since it was added to my trades page. Instead of answering each one individually, I’m posting several larger photos showing the “damages” I alluded to on the web page.
This car was owned by a little kid, who inherited it from his uncle who owned it when he was younger. So, it is “played with” but it appears that they both cared for it.
I’ve pointed out flaws, circled scratches and things that aren’t totally visible due to the changing light source, thank you Sun. Most of the photos are 22", so click on them if you want to see anything closer.
It weighs 1.5 pounds without the base it came on, so anyone wanting to be the next caretaker of this piece should be ready to foot the shipping bill. Because of this, I’ll sell it for what I paid, plus shipping. I know this should really be on the facebook page, and that selling is discouraged on the blog, so I apologize. If I need to take it down, I will do so.
Also, it will be the last time I pick up a car this big at a tag sale or flea market. I had visions of repainting it blue to match the car one of my buds drove to high school, but I bit off more than I care to chew.
Further, if I’m “stuck” with it, that will be ok, but lesson learned...
Little strings of paint that may have been factory errors. Who knows?
Chips and marks on the roof and fender.
Scratch across rear window, and a gouge or something on it as well. Scratches on the roof, and a few chips that appear to have been “repaired” with nail polish or paint.
The front wheels steer with the steering wheel, or by hand, as is usual.
Dusty dash, as seen through the hatch.
More dust in the interior.
In both of these shots of the engine, you can see a couple of the nail polish repairs on the front fenders.
That’s all I got.
Thanks for looking.
