I picked this Silverado up from the Walmart trucks series. I love the shade of blue, but wasn’t interested in another slammed show truck. So, I set out to stockify it, starting with a detampoing.

I raised it by cutting slots in the chassis to drop the axles. Into the slots I dropped a set of my favorite MBX truck wheels. The axles were the right width, so I just glued them in place with ABS glue.

The interior and bed floor plastic piece was chrome, so I scuffed and painted it black. It didn’t occur to me until later that I could’ve just used that piece which is already black from one of the regular mainline versions ... Whoops! I also painted the inside of the bed black, so it just looks like it has a bedliner in it.

A little fettling and detailing, and it was done! I’m very happy with the results.

I think it still needs a red bow tie. What say you all?
